Generalist Track Workflow Process and Samples

Step 1: Request Approval

In order to register for the generalist track, the student needs to complete an online approval form which includes selected modules of study and is sent to Dr. Weiss for approval.

Step Two: Notification of Approval

Dr. Weiss will approve or deny the request to do the generalist track. The student will receive an email with the approval or denial of the course. If the course is approved the email should be:

Step Three: Do the Work and Document It

  • While completing the course work for the generalist track, certificates of completion, screen shots or reports of completion and final questions for modules should be saved as a word doc. These can all be converted to a pdf with a summary of completion at the end of the course.

Step 4: Request a Grade

Once the course of study has been completed, the student should click the link in the approval email ( see step Two) and complete the form.

 

Board Success Track Workflow Process and Samples

Step 1: Create a Contract of Learning

Once you’ve registered for the Board Success Track you can complete your contract of learning online. The link is in the requirements section of this website.

Step 2: Faculty Revisions and Approval

Once you’ve drafted your contract online, your faculty sponsor (Academic Mentor) has a chance to suggest revisions

Using the link provided in the email, make revisions to your contract and submit it again. Here’s an example of:

Step 3 Do the contracted work

  • Save the email that came with the approved contract – it has the link to the completion documentation which allows you to pass the course.

Step 4: Complete an evaluation of your work

Using the link in the contract approval email, fill out the form documenting what you did in the course.

This online form will be sent to your academic mentor/faculty sponsor. Just like with the contract, they might ask you for revisions. The process all happens online using links sent via email.

Step 5 Passing the Course

Once you’ve made any suggested revisions, your faculty sponsor will submit a signature and passing grade. You and the curriculum coordinator will be notified of your grade and it will be posted in BB and sent to the registrar for your official transcript.

The following Sample MSPE allows you to see how CD can be highlighted in your MSPE. The rest of the MSPE is included and follows what is expected in a standard MSPE.

Faculty Sponsor Request Letter Sample

The best faculty sponsor is one who can observe you in the workplace performing EPAs or doing your contracted work. In many cases this will be an adjunct faculty and students are often unsure of how to approach them. An email in advance discussing your opportunity is a great start. We’ve drafted a letter that can be modified to show your own enthusiasm and ideas.
